tips on how to download these to your computer safely.

programs for viruses, the source sites are not under our
control and can be attacked. Try this free virus protection
software, if you don't have one. Win 9X,ME
,
Win NT
2. Most software that is on this site is what is called
self extracting. This means that it installs itself once
you click on it. Others will be required to be decompressed
via a self extracting unzip program. If your computer does
not have an unzip program you can load this self extracting
utility here. Unzip it. If you don't have one for PC pick
a free download
[Recommend UltimateZip]
For Macs .
Then run the Setup program. The program will be stored on
your C Drive. Open the window,
3. Once you have the above software, it is recommended
that you create a download folder so you can find your downloaded
files. Read this How to for more detail.
( AOL users follow AOL instructions.)
4. When you click on our download icon [ ]
it will either start a download or take you to a site that
will. You will be presented with a download dialog box which
will ask you where to download. Select the download folder
you created in the previous step.
5. Once you have located the file, close all open applications
(click the X for each open application. It's also a good idea
to restart your computer.) and then make sure your
virus protection is active. Then click on the setup icon and
follow the setup instructions. This usually includes locating
a storage folder or creating one. Unless you really know what
your doing, just let the setup program install itself where
it wants to. It's important to write down where the software
is being stored so you can find it later. Most setups will
open a window on the desktop, but some don't so please note
the storage folder information.
6. Once the setup is finished you should restart your computer
again. When the system reloads, find the program icon and
right click your mouse over it and drag it either to your
desktop or your task and create a shortcut. This is done
so that you can get to the software quickly.
- 7. Click on the icon and try out your new software.
